I actually love my sister.
This should give some inspiration and some hope to those of you who hate your siblings. I was exactly where you were. They do everything they can to annoy you, they borrow your stuff without asking, they try and hang out with your friends and they try and pin stuff on you that you didn't do. Yup, that's a sibling.
I'm not going to claim to be perfect, no one is. I have my faults as a sister. I was the annoying little sister who wanted to hang out with her friends and borrow her clothes and make-up, but that was years and years ago, and I'm hoping I've grown past that.
I am also not going to say that my sister is perfect either. After our Mom left and our Nanny moved out Amanda thought she was God, or at least that she was the Mom in the house. And not in a sweet loving way. Maybe there was love behind her actions, but it was so behind that no one could see it.
I'm happy to report that I've been able to forgive her for being a complete asshat to me as I was growing up and I've now come to love her. My Dad always said I would love her one day, but I never believed him, maybe he was actually right for once.
Like I said. I love my sister now.
When I get bored, I can call her and tell her how my week is going.
I can get to know things about her that I never knew. My sister lets me into her personal world now, and I'm so greatful for that.
I thank God everyday for that family I've been given, and my sister is an major part of that.

A Little Sister.
